Class 3 - Class Shop
In maths this week Class 3 have been practising their money handling skills by getting to know amounts in pounds and pence. We have practised making amounts using coins and other resources and linked this to our understanding of number. Here we had great fun paying for different items in the class shop!

Class 3 - Dinosaur Hunt
Last week Class 3 watched CCTV footage of an unexpected visitor stomping around the school - a dinosaur! We were very excited! We went down to the nature area to see if we could spot the dinosaur and look for any clues. We saw a large footprint and some of us even thought we heard a roar! To try and find the dinosaur we created some WANTED posters to put around the village. We haven't had any luck yet...

Class 3 Science & Seeds
In our science lessons we have been learning all about plants. In order to find out what plants need to grow and stay healthy, we planted four mustard seeds and watched them grow under different conditions. We were amazed at the results of our experiment! We also planted our own sunflower seeds to see the different stages of germination and growth. We will be taking these home to take care of them.
Class 3 Farm Trip
Class 3 were lucky enough to visit a local Dairy Farm as part of our Food and Farming topic. We learnt so much about how a dairy farm is run and how milk gets from the cow to our shops! We enjoyed seeing the piglets, lambs and calves too!
